‘Tackling the great outdoors has never been more popular. The recent explosion of trail running and wild water swimming, and the continued popularity of climbing and mountain biking prove we like nothing more than making our own adventures.
So, we have set out to create an event which celebrates everything about the great outdoors. Working with our colleagues at the prestigious and long-standing Kendal Mountain Festival, our aim has been to create a bespoke festival just for Durham.
This is a magnificent County. From wild moors to great beaches; wonderful forests to large Areas of Outstanding National Beauty, we are a magnet for outdoor enthusiasts of all kinds.
We want the festival to be an informal, fun and inspiring place to be. Where speakers and audience are all there for the same reason… to share their experiences and love for adventure and exploration. In between the ticketed sessions, we would love people to relax over a craft beer or two, and enjoy the stories and adventures of their fellow enthusiasts.
We hope you will support our new venture, as we have big plans to grow the event. We live in a beautiful environment, so we want our festival to inspire you to get outside, enjoy the outdoors and share the adventure.’
